What to write about
- A correction. If a page states a rule, dollar figure, or deadline you believe is wrong or out of date, send the page URL and, if you have it, the primary source that contradicts us. Corrections are the fastest email to get a reply, and they are handled under our editorial and fact-check policy.
- A source question. If you want to know where a claim came from, ask. Every claim on this site traces to a document listed on the sources page.
- Template and download support. Missing file, broken download link, or a refund inside the 14-day window on anything bought from the products page. Include the email you used at checkout.
- Press, licensing, or a link request. Say what you are working on and what you need.
- A gap in the coverage. If you looked for something here and it was not written yet, tell us. That is where most new guides come from.
What we cannot do
We are not lawyers, not financial advisers, and not financial aid officers, and we are not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Education or any college. That means we cannot give you individualized legal, tax, or financial advice, cannot review your specific appeal letter or aid offer and tell you what to do, cannot contact a school on your behalf, and cannot predict or guarantee what any financial aid office will decide. Every aid decision belongs to the school.
What we can do is point you to the guide, tool, or primary source that covers your situation, and fix anything on this site that is wrong.
Faster than email

Do not send tax returns, Social Security numbers, account numbers, or other sensitive documents by email. We do not need them and we do not want them on our end.
